History
PLUS has been an independent and family owned
since 1920. Our goal is to build customers for
life by dedicating ourselves to total satisfaction.
Since the beginning, we have possessed the flexibility
to adapt to our customer's needs. Take a look
through PLUS's history.

1920's-1940's
M.C. Sprinkle purchased Canton Laundry
& Ice Company from the bank.
The company delivered ice house-to-house
before refrigeration became popular.
Main product was delivering coal for people
to heat their homes.
Ran house-to-house routes for laundry service.
In those days, some laundry was washed and
delivered back wet. The homemaker was then
responsible for ironing the garments.

1950's
Home heating
oil was added to the product line.
M.C. Sprinkle died in 1954.
M.C.'s sons, W.A. Sprinkle, J.L. Sprinkle,
and Carl Sprinkle assumed responsibility
for the business.

1960's
The laundry
company became aggressive in the commercial
laundry business mainly doing work for motels
and some hospitals.

1970's
Ron Sprinkle became the General Manager and began
to lead the company into the textile rental business.
Initially, bed linen was the main focus. Later,
restaurant linen and uniform rental were added
to the product line. The fuel and ice business
was sold in 1978.
1980's
Ron Sprinkle purchased the laundry in 1982 and
changed the operating name to PLUS.
1990's
Renovated facility with a state-of-the-art
garment sorting system.
Implemented bar coding system for accurate garment
tracking.
Opened Depot in Mauldin, South Carolina.

2000's
PLUS continues to
grow as a market share leader as we provide
quality uniform, linen, and dust control
products.
