"Green Laundry" is a phrase used to describe a process of textile care that focuses on reducing the total environmental impact of the laundering process versus older technology traditional laundry operations.
Traditionally commercial laundering facilities produce large amounts of wastewater very day. This wastewater can contain harsh chemicals, acid, surfactants and alkali components. A Green Laundering Facility will not use this harsh mix of chemicals that can cause problems when introduced into the external environment as well as into the groundwater systems.
